AEGIS Mylar Squares are pre-cut curing film used during professional windshield chip and crack repair.
After repair resin or Pit Filler is applied, place a Mylar square over the repair area before curing with a UV lamp. The square covers the resin during the curing process and helps keep the material in place over the repair.
AEGIS specifies HDW3000 Mylar Squares for curing its windshield repair resins, including Crack Filler, Extreme II and Pit Filler. AEGIS repair instructions also direct technicians to place a Mylar square over the filled repair before applying the UV curing light.
